Blogging for the Gospel's Sake

bp.jpgSince I'm at a conference in Los Angeles this week with over 1000 other pastors from all over the world, I've had the opportunity to dialog with a variety of folks that I normally wouldn't get to interact with.  I've had few conversations with leaders who are successfully using some forms of online media to expand the range of their message.  Conversely, I've spoken to a couple of pastors who think blogging ("and all that social networking virtual online stuff") is a waste of time.  It's reminded me afresh that some are converted and some aren't.

For you converts I can recommend the free online monthly publication Blogger & Podcaster Magazine.  This month it features a great article by Lorelle VanFossen (of Lorelle on WordPress fame) entitled: Your Blog Date Book.  So clear, informative and helpful.

If you remain unconverted, I recommend the Bible which says we have a mandate to use "all possible means," (1 Corinthians 9:22) to stretch our reach beyond our natural predispositions and thereby win some.
