Making this post from a Blackberry, so that's why the word count is lower. It's Tuesday again, and this question is from me:
With travel becoming more and more self-serve via online services, what do you use to help to reserve your air travel, hotel, and rental car? (Assistants don't count.)

[update 2/7/08] I usually start at www.kayak.com, which will optionally also comparatively search Hotwire.com, Priceline.com, Expedia.com, and hundreds of other travel websites. Last week, just found www.betterbidding.com for detailed tips on how to win lower bids for great hotel rooms in certain locales. Someone just mentioned to me www.seatguru.com for tips on getting seats with more leg room.

Dont forget www.site59.com-- great for last minute travel, weekenders, and also smarterliving.com. I like to search for price, then go directly to the airline to see what bargains they have. Remember, some airline deals are no bargain if you cannot reserve a seat location, or you have the lovely experience of being herded like cows from lines A, B, or C onto a babybarf-colored airplane of questionable age.
