Had a great conversation with Brian Vasil, Internet Campus Pastor of Flamingo Road Church (FRC). We chatted over Skype video, of course. I'm amazed to hear of his role in ministering to people everywhere via the Internet! Brian is live via video at each of the 6 online services; FRC's Internet campus is averaging 1,300 PC connections weekly. (You can't exactly count people, but technology does let you count PCs.)
I'm so delighted that the team at Flamingo Road Church are regularly sharing openly what they're learning and how they run their Internet campus via a blog and podcast! I sense that more and more churches are looking into how to launch an Internet campus, and the dozen or so churches that already are up-and-running with an Internet campus are getting bombarded with phone calls and emails to learn how.
- WebChurch podcast - the FRC team gives you a behind-the-scenes look at their Internet campus and banters about technology and the church. 22 episodes already posted, including What is an Internet Campus? , Online Baptism, Touring the IC, Evolution of Tech and Church, and more. Here's the iTunes feed.
- Livegears.net blog: inside an Internet campus church -- Arturo De la Mora has been blogging about the technologies that Flamingo Road Church uses, answering key questions like, What do you need to launch an Internet Campus for a Church? and What do you need to have a live event... at the beach? Also, specific details like equipment list of the streaming servers + a 2nd rack, equipment list of the operator console, their Windows Media streaming provider, Flash media streaming and more.
- Take a look at InternetCampusBlog.com, their Internet campus blog, which has the latest news and info
And tonight 7:00pm Eastern, FRC is launching their Student Ministry online! cf. the WebChurch Podcast had talked about doing Student Ministry online about a month ago
Plus, save the date for Wednesday November 12th, 11:00am Eastern / 10:00am Central - for a free webinar with Brian Vasil (Flamingo Road) and Brandon Donaldson (LifeChurch.tv), as Leadership Network hosts this webinar about Internet campuses! You'll hear about and have time to ask your burning questions!

Hey DJ:
How would it be to include a technical implementation and development perspective? 360Hubs developed Central Christian's Online presence and I'm sure Tony Ferraro, our CEO would contribute to your webinar. He's has a passion for delivering the tech at prices churches can afford.
Let me know! DM in twitter (/decart)
Thanks!
