From an office in the United Kingdom,Tony Whittaker coordinates the Internet Evangelism Day, a worldwide focus day for churches. This year, Internet Evangelism Day (IED) is on April 26. This international focus day program explains how the Web is a God-given tool for outreach, and provides help for Christians to use it effectively.
Resources available from the IED website include,
- Free downloads from IE Day's site: PowerPoint, video clips, music, drama scripts and handouts.
- online self-assessment questionnaire helps churches develop their websites to reach outsiders in the community
- Digital Evangelism Issues (DEI) is the new blog, which focuses on news and ideas for any type of digital outreach – web, mobile phone, video clip and social networking and more. "Digital evangelism is a God-given tool, but we are missing many opportunities for outreach," claims IED coordinator Tony Whittaker.
- Online Communication Channel, resources and ideas about good communication and evangelism
